Easy Portion Control

Any one that has tried to lose any weight or do any kind of food ‘regimen’ knows that most diets/food plans call for some sort of restriction, whether it is weighing food and measuring, points, or prepackaged, premeasured food.  Generally that is a nuisance, especially if you eat out, and prepacked food is expensive and generally not the best nutrition.

Now we know we have to do something differently, but it has to be easy, fool-proof, and translate into real life, AND work for anyone in the family.

Caramel Apple Muffins

This recipe was the result of an experiment; what would happen if I added that last dribble of Caramel syrup that wasn’t enough to cover another dish of ice cream?  They came out well.  Try to find caramel or butterscotch that doesn’t have High Fructose Corn Syrup (HFCS) in it (and post the brand and where you find if so, please) or use home made.
